Website Design by Happy Hound
The process of designing a website at Happy Hound Web Design is fairly straightforward. You say what you want, and what you like, then I will go and do it!
The general plan is that you would contact me with a few details about you and your Company. I will get back in touch and arrange a meeting if necessary. At this point we would discuss your website and what you want to gain from it, considering your content, design likes and dislikes, and your customers. And then I need to go away and build your dream website!
And all my sites are built to the latest coding standards, using HTML5, CSS3, PHP and MySql. I also use jQuery to give sites additional functionality and build with WordPress, Concrete5, Presta and CubeCart where necessary. And as the world is rapidly going mobile, all new sites are responsive to all modern devices - now isn't that nice? If you're not sure what this means you can read more about mobile website design.
Brand New Website Design
All my websites are designed and built from scratch. I do not use templates, or existing designs, which puts your business as the main focus - and makes your website unique.
Unlike many other designers I have no page limits, and no restrictions on content - whatever you want on there goes on there. The fee you pay is all inclusive, but it depends on the amount of work required for the site.
Already have a website? Is it not working for you, or you are unhappy with your current designer?
Then I can help. I specialize in taking non-functional websites and bringing them back to life. And because much of the content is already in place, and as you have already paid out plenty of money on a website, I give you a great discount for switching to Happy Hound.
One Page Web Presence
Need a website fast? Only have a small budget? Not sure if a website is necessary?
If the answer to any of those questions is yes, then I have the solution for you. A one-page website designed to give you an online presence from £250, and online within a week. And what's more, if you later decide you need a full website, you just have to pay the difference and not pay for a whole new site!
If your business already trades goods then you more than likely need an e-commerce website. It gives you an additional route to market that is low cost and not restricted by physical boundaries.
Or maybe you are just starting up, and you are daunted by the cost of rent, rates and staffing. An e-commerce website can be cheap to run, and return massive rewards. With Amazon and eBay integration, mobile gateways, and full inventory management you can quickly monitor your sales and appeal to the mass market. You will have all your customers details on record too, so you can target them with specially designed marketing and promotions.
E-commerce websites are a little more expensive, but as you are earning money from the site you will soon have return on your investment.
Self Managed (CMS)
If you want to maintain your own website, or you have constantly changing content, then a Content Management System (CMS) is likely the best option for you.
With secure log-ins and easy to use menus, the administration side to your website couldn't be easier. You can even get mobile apps to help you edit your website on the go, or even update your content by email.
I tend to use WordPress for blog related websites, and Concrete5 for data heavy websites, but I am happy to use any other package that you might have your eye on.
Database Driven Websites
Is your website a little more complicated? And is the content going to be based around information held in a database?
You need a custom designed Web Manager, that gives you personalised web forms to complete, that will then translate onto the website.
Take the Kirklees Sunday League website as an example. The league secretary enters the results and teamsheet information into the website and it then creates league tables, updated results, team profiles and top scorers - all from one form!
